Space Counselling Services seek to make a difference to the people of North Belfast and beyond by providing a caring, professional and confidential counselling service that will help people to be the best they can be.
We have substantial counselling experience working with both adults and children in therapeutic settings. Our approach is integrative and we draw on humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy to provide a tailor made approach for our clients.
We offer both short term work of six weeks for some clients and longer term work when required.
Space Counselling Services believe having a safe place and a supportive relationship to talk through issues helps clients to understand themselves better, work through difficulties and move forward with confidence. This in turn helps people to be the best they can be.
Carol is a fully accredited counsellor with the National Counselling Society as well as a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and CCYP (Counselling Children and Young People). She has substantial experience working with both adults and children in therapeutic settings for over ten years. She is also CEO of a mental health charity in Belfast and offers consultancy work as well as supervision for counsellors, students and other professionals.
Krissie completed her trainee counselling placement at Jigsaw CCC in 2019 and qualified as a counsellor with a Level 4 CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling through SERC. Since then, Krissie has undertaken paid counselling work with adults and teenagers through Jigsaw CCC alongside counselling EAP clients through SCS Ltd.
Krissie joined the SCS team in October 2021 to carry out administrative and invoicing duties following a career in administrative work with the Education Authority for 12 years and voluntary listening and admin work with Samaritans before joining SCS. Krissie has also held an Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) qualification since 2013. Krissie was appointed General Manager of SCS on 1st September 2022 and is responsible for the day to day running of SCS alongside the CEO Carol Massey.
