I am a fully accredited counsellor with the National Counselling Society as well as a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and CCYP (Counselling Children and Young People). I have substantial experience working with both adults and children in therapeutic settings for over ten years. I am also CEO of a mental health charity in Belfast and offer consultancy work as well as supervision for counsellors, students and other professionals.
My approach is integrative and I draw on humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy to provide a tailor made approach for my clients.
I offer short term work of six weeks for some clients and longer term work. I also offer personal therapy for students training to be counsellors at a discounted rate.
I believe having a safe place and a supportive relationship to talk through issues helps clients to understand themselves better, work through difficulties and move forward with confidence. This in turn helps people to be the best they can be.
